Elders
The Sect’s archives: the Sect (surname Yue) Members hadn’t had an official structure until early 18 ACD.
Before that date, the strongest Members were already called Elders, mostly because they were usually older than others. Age was important then, as, after the Disruption the older people were rarely alive.
The official structure of the Sect Elders was created out of need. The Sect Members, to prove who was stronger, had started to duel, especially after meetings involving alcohol.
Talented Abilitiers were dying in this ridiculous way, including one Elder who also died, trying to prove his strength. It became apparent that a challenge was needed—a task to be completed purely with energy, to prove one’s level without unnecessary fighting.
Elders’ exam was one of the first inventions made by Lan (Yue), who was also one of the first to pass it officially.
The main element of the exam was a multiplication test; details are currently classified.
